Bringing in the New Year

It’s been many years since I’ve set up this blog.
Hope to start this year by blogging here again on a regular basis…
It’s not going to be easy because my life’s pretty much the same, serving the nation. This year’s the ORD year though.

9 September never seemed so close.
I have to decide what I wish to pursue for my working life very soon.

Bottom-line is… God decides…

Nikon D300 Shutter Motor Fails

When your shutter fails to close after it opens, it’s going to cost you at least SGD 130.

Flying at the Barrage

Flying a kite in Singapore might seem quite impossible with the advent of urbanisation throughout the country.

It is actually still possible, with a fair bit of travelling.

Take a trip down to the Marina Barrage, Singapore’s 15th reservoir, and be amazed by the number of hobbyists and amateur kite fliers who come by the masses every weekend.

Colourful patterns and characters embellish the skies with their ever peaceful presence, a symbol of freedom and harmony.

For those of you who wish to make a trip down, and are wondering whether or not to locate a kite shop before heading there, fear not.

A kite shop, Marina Cove, is located directly at the the barrage.

I got my kite for $15, and added a string device for $13.

The winds were perfect and the evening was simply amazing.
