A day at the Botanical Gardens

I popped over to the Botanical Gardens this afternoon with Xian Jie to make photos. It was a hot afternoon and by the time we were done, we stank of sweat and really needed a good bath. However, the trip was indeed a fruitful one.

I also managed to shoot one of my most favourite shots [...]

Noah’s Ark – a replica

A replica of Noah’s ark was recently built by a Dutch man, complete with plastic animals. He took 2 years to finish building that boat, half the size of the one as recorded in the bible. Click here to read more.
Many critics and scientists have long wondered about the exact location of this historical artefact [...]

The one-room flat

I had a rather cool outing this morning at Killiney Road with 7 others. Dai Yan had this friend who rented a 1 room apartment nearby, and we had the priviledge of having a time of music and games there.

There was also a very big cat in the room and I started to shoot it. [...]

The Istana Woodneuk

A few weeks back, the 4 of us visited the Istana Woodneuk, a desolate building found in Central Singapore. I just saw a video on youtube that is rather interesting to share:

And gosh, I noticed that so many of you photographers have visited this page in the hope of seeing/getting more [...]

Nan Hua Sky Garden

The news has finally covered the sky garden at Nan Hua, and you might be interested to check out their scoop by clicking here.
Here’s the newspaper article on the Straits Times reporting on the sky garden. I do not have too good an impression of the photos taken, however. The sky garden is not a [...]

Happy Birthday Sabrina!

It’s Sabrina’s birthday today, and we surprised her with a couple of mini delicacies from the Alumni Clubhouse at the end of the day. She was promptly awarded a CD and bottle of body soap as we sang her the copyrighted song. I took out my camera as she started to devour the mini cake [...]

The world is changing

People of today are getting more stress from the working world, and some of them turn to weird methods of self mutilation. Read about it at BBC news
Another article of interest is this one, showing postcards made in 1900 of how the year 2000 will be like.
School’s been quite interesting these days, and I guess [...]

The Greatest Advertisement of all

The advertiser was Apple, who came up with the new Macs, and this advertisement shocked the advertising world. The debate continues on whether the big person on screen was meant to represent IBM.

Nan Hua Sports Day

Nan Hua High School had their annual sports day yesterday, the 20th of April, at Clementi Stadium. It was another one of those balmy friday afternoons, and the intense heat and warm blue skies with occasional dark clouds indicated that rain was approaching. Thankfully enough, it did not rain, and the event went on smoothly.

As [...]

Another day in school

The influenza virus appears to have spread amongst the threesome photographers from my class, namely Xian Jie, Jabez and me. Xian Jie’s been having stomach problems, while Jabez vomited today. As for me, I just feel lethargic and lazy, and I’m now down with a running nose.
My camera’s been cooped up in the dry cabinet [...]

Random Ramblings

The world has come to a point of which humans start to mate with other animals and actually try to create hybrids. A recent news report shows that a man apparently tried to create a centaurian offspring.
Another piece of news that shocked the world was the killings at at Virgina Tech by a deranged student [...]

New schedules

I’ve set up a new schedule with ical, a software devised by Apple. It keeps me prepared for every lecture or tutorial and also manages my leisure time. Now that I’ve managed to put up this schedule, I hope to be able to slot in some time to exercise at least twice a week.
This week’s [...]

2nd Day of School

It’s the 2nd day of school full of lectures from 9am to 6pm, resulting in sheer exhaustion from information overload. The media industry calls out for students with tolerance for tight deadlines and heavy workloads. Therefore, it is only proper that such challenges are put forth for Mass Communications students to tackle. Despite the heavy [...]

Then, I proceeded to the Singapore Indoor Stadium for Benny Hinn’s healing service. 2 hours before it started, I did a photomerge.

Mayflower Secondary School

As part of an assigment for SPH’s Lianhe Zaobao TXY, I was sent to Bishan Stadium today to take photos for Mayflower Secondary School. The route there was one that was full of old memories, and I decided to take a detour later on when it was time to go home.

Nan Hua Sky Garden

Nan Hua High School recently constructed a sky garden at the 5th floor of the school building. This particular sky garden acts as a place where students get to have outdoor lessons and actually pour out their creative juices by selling various snacks such as popcorn. Students can also make small performances at the atrium, [...]

Shooting @ Baoguan

A few of us went to baoguan today to take photos of bubbles. instead, we came out with odd looking photos…

It was worth the trip down, and the bubbles, which took us at least an hour or two to find, proved to be not that useful.
